San Japan Announces Second Round of Guests for 2010 Convention
The Protomen making a grand Rock Opera music performance in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – February 16th, 2010 – San Japan, San Antonio’s
major Japanese Culture and Anime Convention, has announced the second
round of guests for its upcoming convention happening on July
9th-11th, 2010. San Japan is proud to announce that the rock opera
band The Protomen will making their San Antonio musical debut
performance along with appearances by manga writer Tina Anderson and
cosplay group We *Heart* Card Games Productions.

The Protomen were conceived in 1987, when a diminutive Mississippi
child was given a gift for his kindergarten graduation — A small grey
cartridge with a rather misrepresentative cover art. At that moment,
six other children, of varied statures and geographical locales, were
also given these cartridges, and thus their grooming began. Sixteen
years later, in the middle of the state of volunteers and under the
tutelage of Doug Mitchell, their paths converged, their fates were
made known, and their assembly was made complete. They then set out
their mission: to purge the world of the evil that had been brought on
by the new wave of music with naught to say and to revive the rock
opera. They retreated from the world into an underground bunker called
the Thundercon, where they remain to this day, planning their
insurrection against evil and deciphering the ancient writings on the
wall thereof that the old story might be told. According to the most
recent information available, the Protomen are tenfold in number

Starting Fresh

By Shawn Scott Smith| February 12, 2010 | Comments Off

So what started as a fix for Firefox users last night, led us to find a error in our old wordpress files that could only be fixed with a complete upgrade. We are still working on restoring all of the last two years worth of posts (but they may be lost for good).  We took the bad news as a chance  to do some things we’ve wanted to do for a while. As you can tell from our new sidebar, we will try to provide a list of upcoming conventions much sooner than our cons this week posts. Give us some time but our hope is to make it full over the next couple of weeks. We are going to get some rest right now, but feel free to comment about the new look and anything you’d like to see change. Unfortunately any previous users will need to reregister to see their rss feeds and to make comments. Sorry about that, and thanks again for reading. You can contact me directly at luckycreaturelabel@gmail.com with any direct needs you may have.
