Just passing along the below email about Jordancon,
I wanted to take a moment today and do an informal update on how
planning for JordanCon 2011 is progressing. There will be a formal
progress report released in January, but I thought it might be an idea
to remind folks this event is coming up now.
All of you have probably noticed that I’ve added you to a Google Group
for these mailings. The database of email addresses associated with
JordanCon had become so large that any time I attempted to email all
of you via my email account, Google would shut it down for a bit and
call me a spammer. So I set up this announcement only email group
instead. I don’t plan to email everyone more than a couple times a
year, so don’t worry about clogged inboxes.
We still have plenty of room available at in our block at the Crowne
Plaza Ravinia. JordanCon gets discounts for selling out our room
block. It also helps us when negotiating future hotel contracts to
have an accurate idea of how much business we bring the hotel. So if
you can, please consider getting a hotel room in our block.
Also, please note that pre-registration is currently discounted to $45
and will be until December 31. After that, it will be $55 until March
and $65 at the door.
See you in April!
Pre-registration for JordanCon 2011 is currently open at the discounted rate of $45. Guests this year include authors David B. Coe and Eugie Foster. Our Toastmaster is Tor.com blogger Richard Fife. JordanCon will take place April 15-17, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, Georgia. You can find out more by visiting our website. http://www.ageoflegends.net/”
