Heroescon 2013 review

herpsSpent the weekend in Artist Alley of Heroescon in Charlotte, NC. It was the second year we’ve done the artist alley and the 4th year in a row we’ve attended. I can honestly say that the convention traffic seemed lighter but I think it’s because the show doubled their floor size. Luckily the promoters chose to use some of the extra space for wider aisles instead of fitting as many vendors as possible inside.
It made it easy to leave the table and go see one of the wonderful artists or great dealers in attendance.

So many artists who work in comics are always in attendance at Heroes and are always available and approachable. It really is a great show about comics. And the highlight for me is always Indie Island showcasing so much creativity you can’t even fit it all in your mind.

One of the things I love about Heroes is how friendly of a show it is. You rarely encounter a grumpy guest or dealer and it is very kid friendly show.
I plan on attending every year for as long as i can. You should too.
And here’s the Rocketeer holding my sketch card. Cool.
