Our list of conventions on the sidebar is going to continue to grow, but a few things I’ve noticed already. There are a whopping 22 conventions on Memorial Day weekend that we have listed. I’m sure there are more, but either way, wow! If your a new convention, how bout choosing a date in December? It’s the loneliest month in convention land. As always send us links to the cons we need to add to the sidebar and enjoy our newest resource.

    The thing about December as a month for conventions is that’s prime time for more pressing social engagements. It’s that post-Thanksgiving, pre-Christmas and New Year’s Eve span of time that’s crammed with more family gatherings, workplace holiday parties and more. Plus leisure money is put into gifts and holiday treats.

    Someone scheduling a December convention should be confident they’ll get a good turnout or intentionally shoot for a small scale event.
