Connooga day one quick thoughts

Pros: Nice spread out facilities. Some people may find this a negative but I like walking outside in between panels. It makes it feel like us geeks have taken over a small city.
Leticia Wolf. Was surprised by how good she was.
Good friendly fans, good friendly guests.

Cons: Anime Panel room. You can’t hear the panelists over the anime kids. Give these people microphones or don’t host panels there.
The Paranormal track. Jess started her day waiting for fifteen minutes for a presenter who didn’t show and then we went to bed after waiting for twenty minutes at midnight while the ghost team, tried to determine where to conduct the ghost hunt. One would think they would have known where they were going when then submitted the panel. Oh well, onwards to day two.

Yeah I think we learned really quickly that our number one issue with Penn. Station was the noise. I certainly didn’t expect it to be as popular a hang out area as it was, but by Saturday especially we were trying to corridor folks off for chatting to the opposite of where the panels were being hosted. Mics are certainly a great idea though and would certainly be an asset for us next year.
