U.S. conventions, check your filing status

By Petrea Mitchell| July 27, 2010 | No Comments

IRS rules changes mean that all 501(c)(3) nonprofits, which includes most US-based conventions, must file a form every year now. Because so many nonprofits apparently hadn’t heard of this rule, the IRS is offering a one-time amnesty for groups which catch up on their paperwork before October 15th. Details here, along with a list of all organizations at risk of losing their tax-exempt status once the amnesty ends. Check to make sure your con-running organization isn’t on there!
