Rock Comic Con will feature an array of national acts; hard rocking and musically adept nerd bands including Paul and Storm, known for their sharp satirical writing and multiple musical styles, Paul and Storm’s music can be found on radio (including the “Bob and Tom” syndicated radio show and Sirius/XM’s “Dr. Demento Show”), television (Comedy Central, “The Drew Carey Show”), and throughout the internet (The Guild, Homestar Runner).  Theyare also widely known through their association with Jonathan CoultonWil Wheaton and Adam Savage and for their outstanding  geek-oriented concerts whose guests have included Neil Gaiman, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Felicia Day andChris Hardwick.

They are joined by exciting NYC band, H2Awesome!, a hilarious cross between Weezer, the Bloodhound Gang and Iggy Pop…but MUCH nerdier. Comic Geek Speak called them “pure punk rock goodness”. H2Awesome! is fronted by two brothers, born and raised in Denver, Charlie and Jeff LaGreca. The brothers both split time between New York and their beloved hometown and have cut their comedy teeth working and training with such notables as Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Adam McKay, Rob Riggle and many others and have written or been seen on Comedy Central, Conan O’Brien, American Movie Classics,Nickelodeon & the Food Network.

Random Battleshas recently burst on to the scene and are sure to be one of the hottest new VGM (video game music) bands to do so.  They melt faces with their original and combustible arrangements of music from Mega ManCastlevaniaMetroidThe Legend of Zelda, and many other video game faves.  They transform your most revered chip-tune memories into searing guitar solos and hard hitting rock and metal.

Rock Comic Con will also feature MARVEL, DC and independent artists who will be creating live art throughout the night. This art will then be used to raise money to help support the COMIC BOOK CLASSROOM, a program that promotes children’s literacy. In addition, the Hard Rock will also be serving, The Fantastic Pour, the official beer developed by Breckenridge Brewery specifically for the Denver Comic Con. Also of note, and sure to be in demand this year, is the LIMITED EDITION Denver Comic Con inaugural pin which has been created by sponsor, Hard Rock Denver.  Only 300 of the commemorative pins have been created with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Comic Book Classroom. These pins will only be available at the Hard Rock Denver or at the Hard Rock booth on the floor of the Denver Comic Con.

Don’t miss this fantastic, rocking, fun, colorful and outrageous event taking place at theHard Rock Cafe, Denver,  500 16thStreet, Denver 80202  on Saturday, June 16th. Doors open at 9pm.
