As we get closer to Florida Supercon, July 4-7 2013, we are adding new guests at a fast and furious pace! Jason David Frank, Traci Lords, The Comic Book Men, Dichen Lachman, Jerome Opena, Jim “The Dragon” Kelly and more added to the Florida Supercon 2013 Guest List!

Florida Supercon 2013 ( is still almost four months away, but we’re already starting to lock down some amazing guests for our 8th annual show! Over 100 guests have already been announced, with at least another 100 to be announced for what will be the largest guest list in Florida Supercon history!


New guest announcements include:


Jason David Frank is an Actor, Martial Artist and MMA Fighter best known for his portrayal of Tommy Oliver in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Jason is the longest appearing male Power Ranger, appearing in seven seasons. With his knowledge of many different styles of martial arts, Jason has collected the most practical applications, modified them with his own philosophies and created his own blend of American Karate, “Toso Kune Do”. On June 28, 2003, he was inducted into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame. 

Traci Lords is an actress, musician, producer, writer and director. Her acting credits include starring roles in Cry-Baby, Zach and Miri Make a Porno, Blade, First Wave, Profiler and Not of this Earth. She is a chart topping musical artist, with her music being featured in films and TV shows such as Mortal Kombat, Virtuosity, Joan of Arcadia, Sons of Anarchy and Pet Cemetery 2. She is the author of the autobiography Traci Lords Underneath It All. 

COMIC BOOK MEN stars Ming Chen, Michael Zapcic and Bryan Johnson (Steve-Dave Pulasti) have just been added to the added to the guest list for Florida Supercon 2013, July 4-7!

Ming’s road to the Secret Stash all began in 1995, when the college student, video store employee, and Kevin Smith follower developed a fan website based on the movie Clerks. Smith, who appreciated Chen’s work, reached out and asked him to create the Web site for his production company, View Askew Productions. Fifteen years later, not only does Chen continue to work on all of Smith’s online projects, but he has also ventured into several other areas within the Kevin Smith empire, most recently hosting a weekly podcast called I Sell Comics! with Michael Zapcic on Smith’s radio network, S.I.R.!: SModcast Internet Radio.


Michael has an encyclopedic knowledge of every issue of every comic known to man. If you are looking for a rare Marvel back issue, or you want to know in which episode an obscure character first appeared, Mike is your guy. Zapcic began his career at Secret Stash in 2000 and is still in awe that he is able to make a living doing something he is so passionate about. In addition to helping Walt run Secret Stash, Zapcic hosts a weekly podcast called I Sell Comics!, with Ming Chen, on Kevin Smith’s radio network, S.I.R.!: SModcast Internet Radio.


Bryan has appeared in a number of his longtime friend Kevin Smith’s films, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. In 2000, Johnson wrote, directed, and starred in Vulgar. Bryan has also penned comic books including Karney and War of the Undead. Currently, Johnson is the host of the podcast Tell ‘Em Steve-Dave!, along with Walt Flanagan and Brian Quinn. In 2010 the show won two Podcast Awards: People’s Choice and Best Comedy. The show was also named a Best of 2010 audio podcast by iTunes.


Dichen Lachman is best known for starring in Dollhouse as Sierra, Being Human as Suren and currently as Tani Tumrenjack in network series Last Resort. She has also recently been featured in Torchwood: Miracle Day and The Guild.

Jerome Opeña is known for his artwork on such comics as the current Mavel Now relaunch of The Avengers, Uncanny X-Force, Fear Agent, Vengence of the Moon Knight and the 2009 relaunch of The Punisher. Jerome’s full list of credits as interior artist include: The Avengers, Deadpool, Discover Dark Horse 2007, Fear Agent, Fear Agent Library Edition, Image Comics: Future Shock, Lone, Metal Hurlant, Punisher, Rocket Comics: Ignite, Star Wars Tales, Strange Girl, Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny X-Force: The Apocalypse Solution, Vengeance of the Moon Knight, Wolverine: Dangerous Games, Wolverine: Flies to a Spider and X-Men Sonderheft.

Paolo Rivera is known for his work as an artist and painter in comics such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, Mythos: Captain America, Mythos: Fantastic Four, Mythos: Ghost Rider, Mythos: Hulk, Mythos: Spider-Man, Mythos: X-Men, Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine. Paolo started working for Marvel Comics in 2002. Although he began his career painting in oil, he has since moved on to penciling, inking, and coloring (with some occasional sculpting). Rivera’s best-known painted work is Mythos, a series of six richly-painted origin stories written by Paul Jenkins. Originally published as one-shots, it was collected into a hardcover edition in 2008. He now limits his painted work to covers including The Avengers, The Twelve, The Iliad, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Wolverine, among many others. Most recently, he penciled 6 issues of Mark Waid’s Daredevil run with his father, Joe Rivera, inking the issues, for which they received 2 Eisners. As well, he recently provided the covers for the final issues of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Larry Kenney is best known to the world as the voice of Lion-O in original Thundercats cartoon and as the voices of cereal mascots Count Chocula and Sonny The Cuckoo Bird (Coco Puffs)! In the original Thundercats, he was also the voice of Jakalman and has recently been in the new Thundercats series as Caludus, Lion-O’s father. His other animation credits include Silverhawks (as Bluegrass and Pokerface), Karate Kat (Karate Kat) and Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (Lion-O). His video game credits include: Grand Theft Auto IV (The Beat 102.7 Announcer), Alan Wake’s American Nightmare (Eddie Rodman) and Mafia II (Frank Vinci/DJ) He was the announcer for VH1’s Best Week Ever, the voice of Sir Carolboomer in The Twelve Days of Christmas TV movie, the host of Super Duper Baseball Bloopers (1989), the Narrator of Light Moments in Sports (1986) and Commander of the Wind Demons in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. He was also a regular cast member of The Imus in the Morning show from 1973 to 2007.

Jim “The Dragon” Kelly is an athlete, actor, and martial artist. He is best known from his performance as Williams in Enter the Dragon, alongside Bruce Lee. He has also starred in Black Belt Jones, Three the Hard Way, Golden Needles, Take a Hard Ride, Hot Potato, Black Samurai, Death Dimension, Tattoo Connection, Death Dimension, Mr. No Legs, Ultimatum, Stranglehold, Afro Ninja and One Down, Two to Go.

Eric ‘Ebas’ Basaldua is known for his depictions of beautiful women and sexy artwork. His long list of credits includes  Grimm Fairy Tales, Witchblade, Tomb Raider, Hunter-Killer, Incredible Hulk, New Avengers, The Darkness, Civil War: The Initiative, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Witchblade/Wolverine, X-Men and much, much more!

Priscilla Barnes is an actress, producer, writer and special engagement speaker best known for her role as nurse Terri Alden on the television sitcom Three’s Company, as well as her roles in the James Bond thriller Licence to Kill, the Kevin Smith comedy Mallrats and the horror film The Devil’s Rejects. Her most recent role was in Bad Blood: The Hatfields and McCoys as Vicey Hatfield.

Addy Miller is an actress best known for her roles as Summer in AMC’s The Walking Dead and eight as Young Lily in The Secret Life of Bees. Addy’s role in The Walking Dead as Summer “The Little Girl Zombie” was in the pivotal opening scene that set the tone for the entire Walking Dead series, as Rick is forced to come to terms with the new state of the world.

Dexter Vines is a veteran comic book artist and inker with hundreds of credits on some of the most popular comics on the shelf.
