Planet Comicon, Kansas City, the largest pop culture and comic book convention
in this area, is approaching. The next Planet Comicon will be held at the Overland Park International Trade Center near 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park Kansas on March 26-27, 2011. The show is open on Saturday March 26 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday March 27 from 10am to 4pm. The exact address of the Overland Park International Trade Center, for those of you using a GPS device to find your way, is 6800 W 115th St, Overland Park, KS 66211. This is about 1/4 mile east of Metcalf on 115th Street and essentially just behind Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store and the former location of CompUSA.

Jeremy Bulloch — Mr Bulloch portrayed the popular bounty hunter Boba Fett in the second two of the original Star Wars trilogy — The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Alaina Huffman — Smallville’s Black Canary/Dinah Lance and Lt. Tamara Johansen on SGU Stargate Universe
Tom Kane — Mr. Kane, a resident of Overland Park, is the voice of Yoda on Star Wars: the Clone Wars and has had dozens of other voice roles. He was also the announcer at the 2011 Academy Awards which were held on February 27, 2011.
Daniel Logan — Mr. Logan portrayed the young Boba Fett in Star Wars Ep 2: Attack of the Clones. He is also the voice of Boba Fett in Star Wars: the Clone Wars, as well as doing other voices on that series.
Michael McMillian — An Olathe native, Mr. McMillian portrays Steve Newlin on the popular series True Blood and has had many other television roles on shows such as Veronica Mars, Sliders and Firefly.
Lindsay Wagner — Ms. Wagner is best known for her title role as The Bionic Woman. She has also appeared more recently on the popular SyFy series Warehouse 13.

Popular Host of G4 TV’s Web Soup Takes
Norwalk, CT, March 4, 2011: Chris Hardwick, a popular host who makes frequent appearances on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and who is currently the producer and host for the Nerdist Podcast as well as a host on G4’s Web Soup and a reviewer on G4’s Attack of the Show, will be conducting a Q & A with Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). Sir Patrick Stewart, known to legions of fans as “Professor Charles Xavier” in the X-Men film series and “Captain Jean-Luc Picard” on the television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” will attend the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con 2011!
The Emmy-nominated actor, who has performed in more than 100 television and film roles, is one of several actors to appear in all three “X-Men” films: X-Men (2000), X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). His role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, which started on Next Generation, placed him in four Star Trek films: Generations (1994) First Contact (1996), Insurrection (1998) and Nemesis (2002). Convention Officials Reveal Details of
Hemsworth VIP Package
Norwalk, CT, March 2, 2011: Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who will be playing the title role of Thor in Kenneth Branagh’s highly anticipated film version of the Marvel comic book Thor, scheduled for a May 2011 release, will be appearing at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) for an exclusive Q & A on Saturday, March 19th, 2011. The Q & A, which is open to all fans attending C2E2, will take place in the IGN Theater, 11:45am – 12:45pm. Hemsworth is one of several notable personalities whose appearance at C2E2 has recently been announced. It was revealed last week that Patton Oswalt will be performing at the convention on behalf of Comedy Death-Ray on Friday evening, March 18th and noted chef Rick Bayless will be participating in a unique Food and Comics panel on Friday afternoon, March 18th.
Other notable personalities who will be appearing at the convention include Eliza Dushku, Sam Trammell, Tahmoh Penikett, Brian Michael Bendis, China Mieville and Garth Ennis, to name just a few. Officials at C2E2 note that still more personalities and guests will be announced in the coming week. The RIT Anime Club is excited to announce our second round of guests: Chris Rager, Richard Epcar and Ellyn Stern!
Chris Rager has been a voice actor for Funimation studios and an improv comedian for several years. His more notable performances are as Mr. Satan and King Yemma on Dragonball Z, as well as Arlong, the leader of the fish people, on the popular One Piece. Other anime you may have heard Chris in include Blue Gender, Case Closed, Black Cat, Desert Punk, Lupin III, Full Metal Alchemist, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samuri 7 and Sgt. Frog. Chris may also be heard in such video games as Spike out: Battle Street, Stuntman Ignition, Bloodrayne, Roadkill, and many others. In addition, Chris has been in national and regional T.V. commercial ads for companies like Taco Bell, Southwest Airlines and Visa. You may have also seen Chris performing live on stage in Dallas with Section 8 Comedy Troupe for the last 11 years where they perform improv, sketch and musical comedy.
