Bill Willingham Brings the Official East Coast Fables Panel to Baltimore!!

By Shawn Scott Smith| June 4, 2013 | Comments Off on Bill Willingham Brings the Official East Coast Fables Panel to Baltimore!!

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – June 4, 2013 – The Baltimore Comic-Con is pleased to announce the addition of Fables scribe, Bill Willingham to the growing line-up of creators attending this year’s show. The 14thWillingham headshotannual show will take place the weekend of September 7-8, 2013 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Bill Willingham has been writing, and occasionally drawing, comics for close to 30 years now, and is an accomplished writer of prose fiction as well. He is best known for his work on the following comic book series: Elementals; Ironwood; Coventry; Pantheon; Proposition Player; Shadowpact; Fables and Fairest. Willingham currently lives in the wild and frosty woods of Minnesota.

“As one of the remaining conventions that still remembers what comics are all about, we will also be bringing the Official East Coast Fables Panel to Baltimore Comic-Con!” said Willingham.
Still going strong after more than 10 years, Fables creator Bill Willingham will be joined by Mark Buckingham, Adam Hughes, and more special guests which will be announced as we get closer to the show. The Q&A Panel will give fans access to the creators that have made Fables such a beloved and long-running Vertigo title – and may even offer a few surprises as well!

“We couldn’t be happier to be hosting both Bill and the Official East CoastFables Panel at this year’s show,” said Marc Nathan, show promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con. “Fables is consistently one of the best Vertigo books month-in and month-out, and is definitely a fan-favorite! With the franchise growing to include prose novels and an upcoming video game, which joins the comics and graphic novels, Fables has become as much of a classic as the characters themselves.”

By Shawn Scott Smith| May 27, 2013 | Comments Off on Momocon 2014 moves to Memorial Day Weekend

MomoCon – Memorial Day Weekend 2014!

MomoCon 2013 was a huge success, with over 12,200 attendees, and we knew that for 2014 we would need even more space. So we are incredibly excited to announce that MomoCon 2014 will take place in both the Hilton Atlanta and Marriott Marquis! The two hotels are directly connected via an indoor skybridge, to help make it one big venue. With this addition of another hotel comes some more news, MomoCon will be moving to Memorial Day Weekend 2014, May 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This is a big change we know! But getting two hotels to agree on the same availability can be difficult, and Memorial Day Weekend promises MomoCon more space in the years to come. We hope you are just as excited about the possibilities as we are!

When we asked for your feedback on MomoCon 2013, over 1000 of you responded. We listened, and based on your feedback MomoCon 2014 will have: Read more
