By Shawn Scott Smith| March 4, 2010 | Comments Off on The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie!” Screening At Anaheim Comic Con On Saturday, April 17
NEW YORK, NY (March 3, 2010) — From the warped minds of creators, writers and executive producers Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser, comes the most reprehensible and most guilty-pleasure movie of all time…”The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie!” The first animated film based on the “Drawn Together” series will be released by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment, to be screened for the fans on Saturday, April 17 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. PT at Anaheim Comic Con.
“My family and I grew up with one of the co-creators, Dave Jeser, and have known him and his family since I was a teenager,” said Shamus, chairman and CEO, Wizard Entertainment. “Having Dave and Matt at our inaugural Anaheim Comic Con will be a treat both personally and professionally!”
“The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie!” is bigger, badder and uncensored and certainly lives up to its tainted heritage and provides the audience with a not-so-healthy heaping of what everyone has come to know and secretly love from the show. Namely, copious amounts of drunken-revelry, taboo-busting and cartoon-on-cartoon violence.
By Shawn Scott Smith| March 4, 2010 | Comments Off on CALABRESE ATTENDS PHOENIX COMICON
Phoenix, Ariz.—Calabrese, the international horror rock band, will be
attending Phoenix Comicon.
Formed in 2003 the brothers Calabrese have quickly made their mark on
the world… bite marks to be exact. “We are a very lucky band, our fans
our amazing and I think selling our souls is really paying off,” said
Jimmy Calabrese, one of the band members.
“We have some great bands lining up to play at the Hyatt Regency, our
host hotel for our evening and nighttime programming,” said Matt
Solberg, Convention Director. “A lot of people don’t know how great
the music scene is going to be at Phoenix Comicon.”
The terrifying trio has supported bands live such as The Misfits,
Nekromatrix, and Tiger Army. Their sound is a mixture of rock horror
and punk, and no doubt will leave Phoenix Comicon guests begging for
more. Read more

By Shawn Scott Smith| February 25, 2010 | Comments Off on Polish Your Armor, Felicia Day is Coming to the Phoenix Comicon
Phoenix, AZ – Felicia Day, the multi-talented actress, director, writer and producer best known for her online sitcom, The Guild, is going to be attending the 2010 Phoenix Comicon. The Guild is a wildly popular series, created and written by Day, about characters who are immersed in an online multiplayer game, such as World of Warcraft, but generic enough for anybody familiar with gaming to find humor in.
“Felicia Day tapped into of a generation of gamers,” said Convention Director Matt Solberg, “and found comedy everyone can relate to.” Cyd Sherman, known online as Codex, is Day’s Character on The Guild. She is a member of a socially awkward online gaming group that spends many hours a day playing the World of Warcraft-esque game.
In an instance of life imitating art imitating life, The Guild has been touted as one of the web TV world’s best shows.
“Felicia Day is the embodiment of what new media has to offer someone with real talent,” said Convention Communications Manager Kate Davids.
Although The Guild is her most popular project, Day has an impressive list of sci-fi credentials. On the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Day played the role of Violet, a reoccurring character who is an ally of Buffy’s. She also has a part in the critically acclaimed internet musical, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, playing opposite Neil Patrick Harris as Penny, his love interest.
More info can be found at Phoenix Comicon’s , website

Their First Frak’n Appearance Ever Together
New York, NY (February 24, 2010) – In the end there were only five. The final five Cylons of Battlestar Galactica were humanity’s last hope to find Earth. We got ‘em. They’ll all be in Chicago.
There were a total of 13 Cylons over the course of the BSG series, but it’s the final five that created the suspense and revelations fans love.
MEET THE FINAL FIVE CYLONS:
Aaron Douglas as Chief Tyrell
Michael Hogan as Colonel Sol Tygh
Rekha Sharma as Tory Foster
Michael Trucco as Samuel Anders
Kate Vernon as Ellen Tygh
This is the first time the final five Cylons have ever appeared together at a convention.
“I’m so excited to see all my BSG fans in Chicago. It will be so much fun to get together with the rest of the crew. We’ve never all done a show together before and never as the five Cylons. This may be downright historic,” said Vernon.
The Final Five will be available for photographs and autographs all weekend long! Chicago Comic Con is a major regional pop-culture festival celebrating comics, movies, TV, video games, anime, manga, toys, collectibles and so much more.
